The battle for third place turned to the advantage of Hans Weijs (Skoda), after Bernd Casier (Skoda) stopped. Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda) sets the best time in 6:53:4. “We are not in a fight and we take the opportunity to learn the routes”, explains the Norwegian.
Leader Freddy Loix (Skoda) follows at 6??6 ahead of Bryan Bouffier (Peugeot ) to 7??4. “It’s difficult, I’m fighting with myself”, comments the six-time winner of the Rally from Ypres.
Hans Weijs (Skoda), now comfortably installed in third position, finished 11 seconds behind the first time.
Freddy Loix maintains an almost identical lead. Hans Weijs is not threatened, but he is too far from Bryan Bouffier to be able to worry the Frenchman. Michal Solowow (Ford) takes fourth place and has a lead of 38??3 over Karl Kruuda (Skoda). Guy Wilks is 28??7 from fifth position.
