Tom Kristensen disappointed by his 3rd place

Recovered from his injury, Tom Kristensen made his return to competition last weekend, during the Spa 1000 km. Third at the finish, the Dane was disappointed not to have won:

“It was a great race, says the eight-time winner of the Le Mans classic. Many spectacular events have happened. When I was in the car at the end, a light rain started to fall and the Safety Car came out following the accident. At the beginning, we saw that we were losing time in such conditions. This is why wearing intermediate shoes seemed to be the right choice at that time. We were very fast and could catch up with them. Unfortunately the track dried up 15 minutes before the end. In hindsight, we therefore made the wrong decision. However, we are all competitors and want to win. Instead, we fell back to third.”
