Robert Kubica achieved very consistent times at the shakedown of Rally of the Canary Islands contested over a 2,5km course. The Citroën DS3 RRC driver set the benchmark time in 1'26"5 and was six tenths ahead of the Skoda Fabia S2000 of Jan Kopecky and the Mini RRC of Luis Monzon. Craig Breen finished in fourth place on his Peugeot 207 S2000 with more than two seconds delay. The Sochaux car of Jérémi Ancian was two tenths ahead of the Ford Fiesta RRC of Daniel Olivieira.
