Wednesday, the French Jean-Antoine Sabatier had taken advantage of his compatriot's problems at the end of the stage Matthew Serradori, forced to change a wheel in the last kilometers, to regain almost fifteen minutes on the leader of the race. The Bugga One driver did it again yesterday by winning between Azougui and Akjoujt in Mauritania, at the end of a 391 km long stage, including 367 of timed sections. He is ahead of the Russian Anton Grigorov (OSC) by more than nine minutes. But the twist came from Mathieu Serradori, who knew an engine problem at the very end of the stage and finally had to give up after pushing his Predator over the last few meters.
Consequence in the general classification, Sabatier takes back control of the Africa Eco Race ahead of the Kazakh Yuriy Sazonov which places his Hummer H3 more than 2h40′ behind. The tenth stage takes place today between Akjoujt and Toueila still in Mauritania, over 342 km of special.
