Africa Eco Race – Jacques Loomans takes control

Jacques Loomans (Toyota) took the lead in the Africa Eco Race at the end of the fifth stage contested between As Sakn and Dakhla, the last route in Morocco. The Belgian took advantage of the misfortunes of his rivals Miroslav Zapletal and Yuriy Sazonov who lost several tens of minutes following the breakage of the rear differential on their Hummer H3.

Anton Grigorov (OSC) highlighted himself by signing the scratch in the 225km timed with a time of 2h01'12, but the Russian remains in 13th place. The new leader Jacques Loomans is now pursued by the truck of Anton Shibalov (Kamaz) 17 minutes ahead of the H3 of Miroslav Zapletal, the previous leader.
