Nasser Al-Attiyah and Mathieu Baumel (Toyota) devaient gérer leur avance lors de la sixième et dernière étape du Qatar Cross Country Rally 2019 mardi 26 février. The winning duo of the 2019 Dakar had a margin of a quarter of an hour over Yazeed Al-Rajhi and Dirk von Zitzemitz (Toyota).
The mission was accomplished by the men of Toyota Gazoo Racing, who win the first round of the World Cup season rally-raids.

However, the stage victory went to the 2018 World Cup winner Jakub Przygonski (Mini), which was associated with Timo Gottschalk on behalf of the X-Raid team. The Pole finished the event on the third step of the podium, behind Yazeed Al-Rajhi, who took second place to celebrate his return with Overdrive after three years of partnership with X-Raid.
