Carlos Sainz ventures into Extreme E with Laia Sanz

Extreme E continues its momentum and signs two big fish for its inaugural season in 2021. The Spanish Carlos Sainz and Laia Sanz (be careful with the spelling, they are not the same family) will play together within the Hispanic QEV team.

The double world rally champion, successfully converted to rally-raid, will take turns driving the Odyssey 21 electric SUV, alongside the thirteen-time women's trials world champion and four-time enduro world champion. The Catalan is also an official biker on behalf of Gas Gas at the 2021 Dakar

Extreme E requires teams to form mixed crews, one man and one woman, who will exchange the steering wheel after each lap in the remote regions of the globe.

Furthermore, the outgoing winner of the Dakar with Mini becomes a shareholder of the QEV team, officially named Acciona Sainz.
