Chicherit, winner and champion

Taking no risks during this last stage, Guerlain Chicherit and his teammate Tina Thörner won their second victory of the season and logically won the FIA World Cup.

By twice achieving the 6th time during this 159 km loop contested twice in the Beja region, Guerlain Chicherit performed well this Sunday. But the main thing was to arrive first on the final podium, in front of the Estoril Casino. Mission accomplished for the Frenchman, who therefore offers the X-Raid team its third FIA crown (after the two won in 2008 by Nasser Al Attiyah). If this season of rally-FIA raids was very short, with only three rounds, it was largely dominated by Guerlain, author of two victories (Abu D?habi Desert Challenge and Transiberico) and a third place in Tunisia.

As for the unlucky top drivers during the rally, Campos, Sousa, Misslin, Roma, they left this morning, for the honor. Sousa imposed his Mitsubishi Racing Lancer in the first loop, ahead of Roma by 1??, while the second lap went to Filipe Campos. Everyone finished the event, but at the bottom of the ranking, with an average of more than 45 hours of penalties?
