With the various restrictions and travel difficulties due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Pikes Peak 2020 plateau did not have its usual international character of recent years, where Romain Dumas had notably shone with the 100% electric Volkswagen ID.R.
It was Clint Vahsholtz who won this edition, setting a best time of 9'35″490, on his Ford prototype. The debates were hotly contested since Paul Dallenbach failed by just under seven tenths on his PVA-03 Dallenbach Special.
Third in Time Attack 1, James Robinson and his Acura NSX set a new record for a production hybrid car on the slopes of Colorado.
