Dunières hill climb: the weather disrupts the program

PRODUCTION CATEGORY

It was finally at 16:00 p.m. that the first test climb in the Production category was able to start. On this occasion, Ronald Garcès took the opportunity to impose his Audi R8 LMS Ultra in the lead ahead of an astonishing Pierre Beal (Volvo TC10) and Yannick Poinsignon.

On a drying track during the 2nd climb, Yannick Poinsignon and his BMW M3 E92 took back the lead ahead of Ronald Garcès and Anthony Dubois (Alpine A110).

SPORTS CATEGORY

In the category reserved for so-called “open” cars, only one timed practice session was able to take place due to the late time at which the day ended.

As a result, it was Geoffrey Schatz who finished the day in the lead at the wheel of his victorious Nova NP01-2 at Vuillafans-Échevannes, ahead of Fabien Bourgeon (Revolt 3P0) and Damien Chambé-rod (Norma M20FC E2SC 1.7 Turbo).

This Sunday, the competitors in the Sport category will start at 8:00 a.m. with their 2nd timed practice climb, then at least 3 race climbs will take place. Indeed, the initial program of the event provided for 4 climbs of races at the Meeting; the evolution of the day on Sunday will make it possible to determine if the schedule can be respected
