Kevin Hansen confirmed in family team for World RX 2021

Continuity will logically be required at Hansen in World RX in 2021. The Swedish team led by legend Kenneth Hansen will once again field two Peugeot 208 WRX this season across all rounds of the World Championship (from July 23 and 24 in Barcelona), one of them being entrusted to youngest son Kevin.

At 23 years old, the fifth in the last general classification will begin his sixth campaign at the highest level of the discipline, and will aim to play the leading roles at the same time as increasing his victory count, stuck at a success achieved in 2019 in opening at Abu Dhabi.

A special year before the expected introduction in 2022 of cars with an electric powertrain. “I have looked at all areas of my development in order to put myself in a better position heading into the season, Hansen points out.

I know where I've been inside and where I've been strong, and it's time to put it all together in the final year of the thermal era. I'm capable of winning championships, I think my junior career showed that.

It's no different at the highest level and I hope the changes around me showcase the progress we've made together.

The development of our car has moved in a direction in which I feel more comfortable, and the car suited me much better last season than in 2019.

Hansen will announce the identity of his second driver in the coming days, Timmy Hansen having driven the second Peugeot 208 in 2020, being a logical candidate.
