The karting season stopped in France

The evolution of SARS-CoV 2 contaminations in France as throughout Europe since the summer left little hope of being able to end the season as planned. The measures announced by the President of the Republic on Wednesday October 28, 2020 confirmed these fears. It is no longer possible to organize competitions karting in France.

The FFSA therefore had to resolve to whistle the end of the game now. The French Long Circuit Championship scheduled for this weekend in Lédenon will not be able to take place.

The last event of the French Championship Endurance d’Angerville on November 7 and 8 as well as the last meeting of the French Junior Championship and the French Long Circuit Championship scheduled in Lyon – Saint Laurent de Mure on November 21 and 22 are canceled.

The National Karting Commission and the FFSA karting service would like to salute the efforts made over several months by the organizing clubs and their volunteers to put in place the necessary health procedures.

The behavior of the vast majority of drivers, their entourage, mechanics and teams was exemplary. Karting can be honored to have been one of the most responsible sports during this period.

The FFSA is already focusing on the 2021 season which risks opening in unfavorable conditions. Competitors, supervisors, ASKs, circuits and professionals are among the priority concerns of the Federation, concerned with the survival of motorsport and its stakeholders.
