Laboulle as boss in Lohéac

Marc Laboulle could not miss this meeting, in Lohéac, the ??Monaco?? of Rallycross, the test not to be missed. The leader of the French Division 1 championship arrived in Brittany with the status of favorite, having won five events this season. The Picard dominated the timed tests even if a broken spark plug electrode gave him a little scare on Saturday. Laboulle would put the rubber back on during the qualifying heats, taking a new pole position. Jérôme Grosset-Janin, best time in the third qualifying heat, took second place on the starting grid, ahead of David Meslier, Jean-Michel Limou, Hervé ?Knapick? and Jean June.

At the start of the final, the Division 1 leader quickly moved to the head of the peloton, ahead of Grosset-Janin. Deprived of a turbo, David Meslier remained stuck at the start and saw his rivals leave without him. If Marc Laboulle pranced in the lead, the places of honor were disputed. Jérôme Grosset-Janin had to stop after four laps after the flames, quickly extinguished, sprang from his Citroën C4. Jean-Michel Limou, faster than Hervé ?Knapick? in the joker round, inherited second place. Marc Laboulle won without any problem and took advantage of David Meslier?s sixth place to widen the gap at the top of the championship.

In Division 1A, Samuel Peu also presented himself as the favorite for the Lohéac event. Jostled by David Deslandes at the start of the weekend, Samuel Peu was the best in the second and third qualifying heats, taking pole position. During the race, the Citroën Saxo Kit Car driver started in the lead, ahead of David Deslandes and Davy Jeanney. The latter quickly took the joker lap and found himself stuck for most of the race. For his part, Samuel Peu took his joker turn on the fourth lap, leaving the lead to David Deslandes, who tried to widen the gap, to take his slow turn as late as possible. Despite everything, the Citroën Saxo Super 1600 driver emerged behind Samuel Peu, who won his sixth race of the year and the 20 points for victory. In the championship, Peu now has a 37-point lead over Deslandes and is getting closer to a title that seems promised to him.
