Lamera Cup – Team Lamera winner in C2 at Paul Ricard

Sunday July 12, during the eight-hour race held at Paul Ricard to kick off the 2020 season of Lamera Cup, Team Continental Racing (Fargier – Maire – Billet) was unable to take advantage of its pole position, forced to give up the race lead 35 minutes after the start (damaged steering ball joint).

Starting 28th again, the crew finally ranked 17th. Difficult weekend for the trio of the No. 40, 3rd at the start of race 1 on Saturday but victim of an injector problem which dropped them to 24th position. The only consolation is that the crew leaves Le Castellet with the best lap of the weekend's two races.

In Elite, five crews competed for victory, with the final podium still undecided 30 minutes before the checkered flag. Team Lamera (Pierre Couasnon – Wilfried and Thomas Merafina) finally won ahead of Team Asphalte (Orgeval – Gruau – Casals) and the winners of the day before, ETC Racing (Dorchy – Froment – Autajon) while the crews Diduca-Penelon-Rousseaux-Soave (Team TTM 26) and Debin – Rey-Oliveira-Bros (Team Lux Motor) complete the Top 5.

In Pro-Am, Scania France (Eric Darné, Sébastien Guignard, Jean-Luc and Benoit Portmann) quickly converted its 2nd place in qualifying into victory when Tim Nagels – Elle Geerits – Jan Van Meerbeek (Genius Water Racing) achieved the double at the Gentlemans after having already won their category the day before.
