Lans en Vercors: Nathanaël Berthon takes pole

SP Compétition driver Nathanaël Berthon took pole in the second Lans en Vercors race. Jean-Baptiste Dubourg missed out.

Lans en Vercors: Nathanaël Berthon takes pole

A copy and paste from last weekend? In Serre-Chevalier, Jean-Baptiste Dubourg flew through the first day, the same on Friday in Lans en Vercors. On the second day, it was Nathanaël Berthon's turn to achieve the grand slam. However, the SP Compétition driver took pole this Saturday after dominating all qualifying.

However, it was not won. After an exceptional first part of the course in superpole, Berthon suffered a collision in the last corner, but managed to keep the lead. We thought that Yann Ehrlacher (M RAcing), the final starter, was going to steal pole. The Alsatian was well ahead at the intermediate stage. Except that he too came to hit the wall and paid the price. At the finish line, he found himself fourth behind Nicolas Cheers and Aurélien Panis.

Olivier Pernaut and Benjamin Rivière completed the superpole ranking, which saw the absence of an important driver. 

This second day could restart the title race, since the big loser is Jean-Baptiste Dubourg. The undisputed leader of the general classification who won yesterday was unable to qualify for the suprepole and will be content with the small final.
