The Dakar will go well in Saudi Arabia

After Africa and South America, it will be Saudi Arabia which will host the 42nd edition of the Dakar as we announced in AUTO issue 2209hebdo.

The organizers of the biggest event in Rally-Raid preferred to turn to a country with a large budget to ensure the smooth running of the event, after having encountered several difficulties in recent years in South America.

“It is a real pleasure to have to trace a route in such a monumental geography and conducive to the most daring itineraries. You are spoiled for choice. Sport, navigation, surpassing oneself, will obviously be magnified in these territories made for rally-raids”, promises David Castera, the new director of the Dakar.

“We promise competitors new challenges by designing stages in the majestic and mysterious “Quart Empty” desert. The diversity of the country's terrain and natural environment will lead competitors to a unique experience., adds Prince Khalid Bin Sultan Abdullah Al Faisal, President of the National Motorsport Federation.

The organizers will give more details on the next edition of the Dakar during a press conference to be held in Al Qiqqiya.
