Update on the French Historic Tour Championships after Albi
The Historic Tour delivered a first verdict in the summer heat of Albi (Tarn). The first meeting of the 2020 season of the French Historic Circuit Championship highlighted 11 drivers, who find themselves leading one of the two general classifications.
Indeed, the two classifications allowing a title stamped by the French Motor Sport Federation (FFSA) to be awarded distinguish Single-seaters (F3, FRenault) and Protos (SportProtosCup) of GT and Tourism (Asavé, GT Classic, etc.).
After a meeting, the 11 leading drivers are those who have collected two victories in Albi in their favorite discipline. In Single-seaters/Protos, the title holder Frédéric Rouvier is at the front, with his full performance in F3 Classic, just like Matthieu Châteaux in SportProtosCup. This is also the case for Swiss Christian Vaglio-Giors (Formula Renault Classic), Arnaud Dousse, Monegasque Geoffroy Horion (Formula Ford Zetec and Kent).
In GT/Tourism, honors go to the Gaubert family, father and son (Asavé Racing 75), José Beltramelli (Asavé Racing 65), Franck Quagliozzi (Youngtimers GTI Cup), Florian Cabarrou (Roadster Pro Cup) and Laurent Sabatier (GT Classic). The ranking should be decided during the second trip of the Historic Tour, to Dijon-Prenois (Côte-d’Or), from August 14 to 16.
