The 2021 Andalusia Rally attracts 120 cars

The second edition of Rally from Andalusia (Spain, May) is full of entrants. In addition to the 85 confirmed motorcycles, no less than 120 cars were added to the list of participants in this event co-organized by the David Castera Organization (ODC) and the Amaury Sport Organization (ASO).

The title holders, Nasser Al-Attiyah and Mathieu Baumel, set off again with their faithful Toyota Hilux 4×4. The Qatari-French duo will have to monitor other vehicles built by Overdrive such as the Hilux des Rapides Yazeed Al-Rajhi-Dirk Von Zitzewitz, recovered from their accident in Saudi Arabia this winter.

In the Mini clan, Carlos Sainz and Lucas Cruz will try to relaunch their season after a sluggish 2021 Dakar. The Spaniards will be accompanied by a well-known beginner from DTM and World RX, Mattias Ekström, with a buggy.

Laia Sanz will try her hand at driving a Mini JCW 4×4, one month after making her debut in Extreme E. The biker, 13 times world trials champion, thus confirms her desire to move from two to four wheels in rallying. raid.

Sébastien's fans Loeb will be disappointed : the nine-time world rally champion does not appear on the document shared this Wednesday, May 5. His Bahrain Raid Xtreme team, headed by Prodrive, is conspicuous by its absence.

In the T3 category, young talents from Red Bull Off-Road Junior Team will host the debates, with Cristina Gutierrez, sailed by Frenchman François Cazalet, or the Americans Mitch Guthrie and Seth Quintero.

Finally, the former co-pilot of Thierry Neuville en WRC, Nicolas Gilsoul, will discover the discipline to the right of Frenchman Jean-Luc Pisson within the PH Sport team.
