Ligier European Series – Bihel received three out of three

During the two qualifying sessions, in the JS2 R category, Natan Bihel (M Racing) and Olivier Pernaut (Orhes Racing) were never separated by more than two hundredths. And as we expected, the fight raged this morning between the two men during the first race, on the Red Bull ring.

Finally, winner of the two events in the first round in Barcelona in mid-April, Bihel confirmed that he was the overwhelming favorite in the race for the title in his category. But the young Frenchman – wearing the No. 53 – had to work hard to win, since he was only 2”675 ahead of the No. 24 Ligier of Olivier Pernaut and Mathieu Martins.

Lined up in the No. 4 Ligier JS P23, Jacopo Faccioni took the checkered flag in third place overall at the wheel of the HPRacing by Monzagarage car which he shares with Alessandro Cicognani.

The Italians, winners in JS P4, were ahead of Jacques Nicolet and Patrice Lafargue, who defend the interests of the Les Deux Arbres team dear to Jack Leconte and who complete the podium in the category.

Entered in the No. 2 Orhes Racing JS25 R with Alain Bucher, Julien Fébreau finished seventh overall and just off the podium in his class.
