Lohéac – Pailler and Hansen in the lead at Lohéac, Loeb in 9th provisional rank

Sébastien Loeb made a very good debut at the wheel of his Citroën DS3 at Lohéac where the seventh round of the European Championship is being contested. Rallycross. If the nine-time world champion took fourth place in the first round he competed in, the Alsatian distinguished himself by winning the second against Hervé Knapick (Peugeot 207 WRC). His fifth time allowed him to finish the day in ninth place and provisionally qualify for the semi-finals, knowing that only the first 12 drivers will be able to participate at the end of the four qualifying rounds.

If Petter Solberg (Citroën DS3) took second place in the first contested race (third time), the 2003 WRC world champion lost time by stalling in the second and found himself tied for 12th position with Alexander Hvaal (Citroen DS3). Kris Meeke (Peugeot 208) obtained the same results as the Norwegian, but the Irishman only occupies 16th provisional position in the qualifying game, tied on points with Henning Solberg (Saab 93). Conversely, Jean-Philippe Dayraut (207 WRC) did not miss the start of the weekend since he occupies eighth place ahead of Sébastien Loeb after winning his first two races.

Fabien Pailler (Peugeot 208) is provisionally in the lead with Timmy Hansen (Citroën DS3) after also winning in his first two participations. Championship leader Timur Timerzyanov (Citroën DS3) follows in third place with a victory in Race 1 and a third place in Race 2. Davy Jeanney (Citroën C4) is also well placed as he occupies fifth place in the provisional standings behind Andreas Bakkerud.

The last two qualifying rounds will be contested tomorrow morning while the Supercars semi-finals and finals will take place in the afternoon.
