Nasser Al-Attiyah at the start of the 2017 Silk Way Rally

The Silk Way Rally organized a presentation evening in Paris this week where the first brand entrants were revealed for the 2017 edition of the rally-raid which will set off on July 7 from Moscow's Red Square to reach via Kazakhstan, China and X'ian on July 22.

Alongside Peugeot , which will enter three 3008 DKRs for the trio Stéphane Peterhansel – Sébastien Loeb – Cyril Despres (outgoing winner), the event will be able to count on the presence of Nasser Al-Attiyah, always assisted by Matthieu Baumel.

Présent sur le Dakar avec le Toyota Hilux quatre roues motrices, l’ancien champion WRC-2 will seek to counter the Peugeot 3008 DKR which won last January in Argentina. Other cars developed by Overdrive are also expected.

With Peugeot and Toyota, Team X-Raid has confirmed the presence of several top drivers on the Minis. Mikko Hirvonen would therefore be logically expected.
