Rallycross: It was a close call

The final of Rallycross in Dreux promised suspense in all divisions. The title in D1 was uncertain between Samuel Peu (Peugeot 207 WRC) and Gaëtan Sérazin (207 WRC). It was finally Samuel Peu who won the title by finishing the final in 2nd place behind Fabien Pailler (207 WRC) but ahead of his direct rival in the Championship, who failed by only one point behind.

Laurent Chartrain (Citroën Saxo kit car) secured victory in the D1A final ahead of David Olivier, but it was the driver of the Renault Twingo 2 which won the Championship five points ahead of the Citroën driver. Steven Bossard (Citroën C2 S1600) finished in 3rd position after spinning during the final where he finished in 5th place.
