Bakkerud on pole for Q1 in Abu Dhabi

Andreas Bakkerud secured pole for Q1 after the draw which determines the starting grids for the first session in Abu Dhabi.

Bakkerud on pole for Q1 in Abu Dhabi

The first draw of the World RX season favored Andreas Bakkerud (Audi S1). The Monster Energy RX Cartel resident obtained pole in Q1 at the new Abu Dhabi meeting at Yas Marina and will start from pole ahead of Pal Try (Ford Fiesta) and Oliver Bennett (Mini Cooper).

It's Guerlain Chicherit (Renault Mégane RS), boss-driver of GC Kompetition, who will be on pole for Race 2 ahead of Kevin Hansen (Peugeot 208), Timo Scheider (Seat Ibiza) and rookie Cyril Raymond (Renault Clio RS).

Timur Timerzyanov (Hyundai i20) will start from pole in Race 3 ahead of his teammate Reinis Nitiss. Rookie Guillaume de Ridder (Renault Clio RS) will be in 3rd row ahead of Krsztian Szabo (Audi S1) and Anton Marklund (Renault Megane RS).

Timmy Hansen (Peugeot 208) will start on pole for the final Q1 race ahead of Niclas Grönholm (Hyundai i20), Janis Baumanis (Ford Fiesta), Rokas Baciuska (Skoda Fabia) and Liam Doran (Audi S1).

Q1 of World RX in Abu Dhabi will be followed live streaming on our site this Friday from 13:50 p.m. French time.
