Davy Jeanney as leader in Faleyras

After the Kerlabo round, which hosted both the French Championship and the European Championship of Rallycross, return to a purely national event in Faleyras. Fifteen days after having shone against the European big names, by being the only Frenchman qualified in the Division 1 A final, Davy Jeanney (Citroën WRC ") will once again be the favorite of the weekend. Winner of the first two meetings of the season, Marc Laboulle's designated successor will attempt to make it three.

But, in Faleyras, many pilots will want to dethrone him. Starting with David Meslier (Renault Clio III RS “WRC”), 2008 champion and 2009 vice-champion but missed out on its first two meetings in D1. Philippe Tollemer (Citroën C4 “WRC”) and Jérôme Grosset-Janin (Citroën C4 “WRC”) will also have the hope of shining, being on the D1 podium today. Marc Laboulle, reigning champion, will also be present at Faleyras, at the wheel of a new Citroën C4 “WRC”.

In the French Division 1A Championship, young Steven Bossard will be eagerly awaited. At 19 years old, the driver of the Citroën C2 Super 1600 has just surprised everyone by winning the first two rounds of the season, notably dominating all the European elite at Kerlabo. But Eric Guillemette (Renault Clio Super 1600) and David Olivier (Dacia Logan) will not let themselves be defeated and will try to catch up with Steven Bossard.

The Faleyras meeting should therefore keep all its promises, also hosting the Coupe de France D3 and D4, as well as the Logan Cup. Hostilities begin on Saturday.
