Alone at the top of the French championship Rallycross since the previous round in Mayenne, Samuel Peu did not go into detail for the first day of racing in Dreux this Saturday. Riding on his victory acquired a fortnight ago, the pilot of the Peugeot 208 N°1 left no chance to its competitors in the Centre-Val de Loire.

In spirit on the Dreux circuit, the reigning French champion set the best time in each qualifying round. A perfect operation which allows him to take off at the top of the intermediate ranking since his opponents have alternated the good and the less good like Romuald Delaunay.

Runner-up to Samuel Little in the championship, the Seinomarin lost a lot of ground in Q1 (16th place) before catching up in Q2 with the 2nd time behind his main rival for the title. With this return to the forefront at the end of the day, Romuald Delaunay was able to grab a few places to reach 10th place overall this Saturday evening.

Samuel Peu can therefore rest well tonight before tackling the last two qualifying rounds. His closest pursuers, Fabien Chanoine and Emmanuel Anne, are respectively 18 and 22 points behind in the ranking. Something to give yourself some fresh air for Sunday.

Anthony Paillardon, David Le Ferrand, Jean-François Blaise, Edgar Maloigne and Alizée Pottier dominate respectively in Super1600, Division 3,  Division 4, Juniors and Women.

The complete rankings can be found here.

The resumption of competition is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. this Sunday with the Warm-up before the final qualifying heats starting at 9:00 a.m.
