The Kristoffersson family is not about to leave the world championship Rallycross. As the electric revolution looms, Kristoffersson Motorsport has confirmed its participation in the first season of the new era of World RX. The team created by Tommy Kristoffersson, father of triple world champion Johan, has in fact reserved 3 of the 14 kits from Kreisel Electric to contest the 2022 campaign with three cars. A first in the history of family structure!

« We already won a world championship title with our own team last year, but fighting for the first ever world championship crown with electric rallycross cars is the ultimate challenge and the one that inspires us the most. It was an opportunity too good to turn down, recognizes Tommy Kristofferson, owner of KMS.

We have a long history in Rallycross, it's what we do best, and we had a few options in front of us for 2022 but I didn't want to start something new if we couldn't do it properly. Luckily, our new investors truly believe in the future of electric Rallycross and are ready to embrace this exciting change ».

Although KMS confirmed its entry with three cars, it nevertheless did not reveal the identity of the drivers. Unless there are any surprises, Johan Kristoffersson should be at the wheel of one of Kristoffersson Motorsport's machines. As for the other two, it's a total unknown.
