Time passes and the show is more and more spectacular in Lohéac. After a first taster on Friday with the Euro RX, the RX3 or even the RX2e, the spectators who came in droves (more than 6.000 despite health restrictions) were spoiled this Saturday with the first appearance of Kristoffersson, Hansen and company.

Stormed early in the morning, the alleys of the Breton enclosure were gradually returning to normality despite the health crisis which has been raging for almost two years now. Beer, fries, sausage pancake, cheering crowd, show on the track, all the ingredients were there for a first real day of show in Lohéac!

Take care of Friday, the Supercars of the premier category were finally released into the arena this Saturday to definitively launch this 3rd round of the World RX season. After free practice, the competitors were finally able to compete on track during the first two qualifying sessions of the weekend.

Jostled at the start of Q1 and author of a remarkable maneuver to avoid ending up in the safety barriers after contact with Kevin Abbring, Johan Kristoffersson was content with 2nd place behind Niclas Grönholm.

Present on the starting grid of the 5 fastest men of the day, the Swede imposed his rule this time by winning this second series hands down and taking control of the general table with 95 points against 92 for Niclas Grönholm.

Highly anticipated in Brittany, the Hansen Brothers had a somewhat eventful day. Third and fourth in Q1, Kevin and Timmy then ranked 4th and 7th in Q2 respectively to reach 4th and 5th positions overall at the end of Saturday. Not spared from contact on the track, Kenneth Hansen's sons will have to raise their voice this Sunday to put themselves in a good position for the semi-finals and the final.

In Euro RX, Andreas Bakkerud once again proved that he was the man to beat at Lohéac. Winner of Q1 and 2nd in Q2, the Norwegian in the ESMotorsport Skoda Fabia finished the day at the top of his category.

The 2019 world vice-champion should nevertheless not rest on his laurels since the Dubourg brothers are close behind him and Jean-Baptiste “ arrange to meet " this Sunday. Attention !

In RX3, it is the Swiss Yury Belevskiy who leads the way. Lying in ambush behind Belgian Kobe Pauwels during practice on Friday, the driver of the No. 1 Audi A95 took matters into his own hands this Saturday by winning Q1 and Q2 before finishing 2nd in Q3.

In RX2e, Dorian Deslandes and Cyril Raymond, the only two French people entered, were uncompromising and monopolized the first two places at the end of the first three qualifying rounds.

The resumption is planned this Sunday from 8:30 a.m. with the Warm-up.
