The electrification of Rallycross is well underway. Developed by Austrian engineers from Stard led by the former pilot of rally Manfred Stohl, Projekt E will have five meetings on the sidelines of the World Rallycross Championship (World RX) in 2020.
The circuits selected are Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium), Hell (Norway), the future route of the Nürburgring (Germany) and the Riga track (Latvia), scene of the final. Another meeting is announced in mid-July but for the moment it is impossible to know the destination.
Project E will take place thanks to electric cars capable of providing 450 kW, or 613 horsepower, with an instantaneous torque of 1 Nm and a maximum speed of 100 km/h.
