New format for the World RX calendar

World RX has unveiled a new format for his 2020 season which is scheduled to begin on the weekend of August 23 in Höljes (Sweden). The promoter of the world championship Rallycross IMG has set up a two-event meeting over the first three trips of the season, with Kouvola (Finland) and Riga (Latvia).

The promoters changed the plan compared to the previous version since it was the Yas Marina circuit (Abu Dhabi) which was to host two events. From now on, the following meetings will be contested according to the usual format.

IMG recalled that all events would be contested while respecting health measures, specifying that the Kouvola meeting would be contested behind closed doors. World RX will return to the Finnish circuit for the first time since its inaugural season in 2014 when Tanner Foust won.
