Robin Larsson returns to World RX

The field is starting to take shape in World RX with the confirmation of the return of Robin Larsson. The double European champion who beat Jean-Baptiste Dubourg last year will be entered in a latest generation Audi S1 quattro built by EKS, that of Mattias Ekström from 2018. It will be prepared by JC Raceteknik which will put all its resources into this car.

“I am delighted to enter World RX with such a successful team and a competitive car, comments the 27-year-old Swede. Me and Joel (Christoffersson, director of JC Raceteknik) had one of the best seasons last year and it's great to be able to continue with this structure. The events will obviously be difficult, with many fast drivers, but that's part of the Rallycross."

Robin Larsson made his last participation in World RX last year in Bikernieki (Latvia) but had no success, abandoning a qualifying round condemning him to the bottom of the ranking. The Scandinavian already has 3 seasons at world level and a victory in Argentina in 2015.

“We had good pace last year against the World RX drivershe says. We will now face them on track and I am sure I can be even faster. We will see during the first events where we stand compared to the other teams. It would be nice to have good results immediately and continue this trend. I expect to experience some wonderful fights. »

Robin Larsson will perhaps be penalized by the inexperience of his team in World RX while the structure has not yet fully closed the budget for the program, but the package remains efficient and could well create a surprise. One month before the start of the season in Barcelona (Spain), only GCK, GRX et All-Inkl.com Munich Motorsport confirmed their program.
