STARD unveils its Citroën C3 ERX for Projekt E

After the Ford Fiesta, the base car for the development of the REVelution powertrain designed by Manfred Stohl's STARD entity, it is the turn of the Citroën C3 ERX to make its appearance for the next 100% electric World RX support series, which will begin on August 22 and 23 in Sweden.

A major first, the chassis of the C3 ERX is based on that of the R5 version, widely distributed in rally in national and international championships, with 80% of the elements retained. On the powertrain side, three electric motors offer 450 kW (a little over 610 hp).

The project is supported technically and commercially by Citroën Racing, with the car available for €374.

“Since the commercial launch of the C3 R5 in 2018, our car has become one of the benchmarks in its category, recalls Didier Clément, head of competition-customer activities at Citroen Racing.

It proved its rallying potential and provided a solid basis for STARD to develop the C3 R5 ERX. We are delighted to support STARD on this ambitious project and will follow it closely.

Motorsport is at a turning point and we are seeing more and more extremely competitive electric cars. The C3R5 ERX shows that our C3 R5 family continues to grow, with a new product that looks promising. »
