What a turnaround for Timmy Hansen in the space of 24 hours. Eliminated from Q2 yesterday following a suspension failure, and relegated out of the top 12 qualifying for the semi-finals, the Team MJP Hansen driver had a perfect second day in the rain in Riga, Latvia to make the big move in the weekend.

Winner of Q3 and Q4, the Swede then largely dominated his semi-final in front of his brother Kevin before controlling the final. The pilot of the Peugeot 208 RX bleue a profité d’un premier virage parfaitement négocié en finale, au contraire de Timur Timerzyanov (GRX – Hyundai), qui a notamment gêné Andreas Bakkerud (Monster Energy RX Cartel – Audi S1), Niclas Grönholm (GRX – Hyundai) s’infiltrant en 2e position dans la mêlée.
From then on, Timmy Hansen will prove untouchable, winning in the end ahead of Grönholm and Bakkerud. Kevin Hansen (Team MJP Hansen) took 5th place ahead of Tmur Timerzyanov and Liam Doran (Monster Energy RX Cartel).
With this second consecutive victory, the 4th of the year, Timmy Hansen takes control of the general classification of World RX with 187 points, one unit ahead of Andreas Bakkerud and eight ahead of Kevin Hansen.
