TitansRX – Toomas Heikkinen and Timmy Hansen winners in Austria

It was a bit like the home meeting for TitansRX. On the track of the MJP Arena, named after Max Pucher founder of the series, the championship saw the fight for the 2019 title accelerate between the Hansen brothers and Toomas Heikkinen.

The latter dealt the first blow in Austria by winning the first race of the weekend after dominating the entire day, and resisting the attacks of Kevin Hansen in the final. Recently confirmed to compete in the British and Australian rallies with the Ford Fiesta R5 MKII, Hayden Paddon took the podium ahead of Craig Breen and Timmy Hansen, who got off to a bad start and seemed to have given up on his rivals for the title.

But the Swede would react brilliantly in race 2 the next day by taking off from the first corner of the final to win ahead of Topi Heikkinen and Kevin Hansen. Like the day before, Jérôme Grosset-Janin finished fifth in the final.

In the championship, Kevin Hansen dominates the standings with 178 points, five points ahead of Heikkinen and 11 points ahead of Timmy Hansen.
