World RX – Bruno Famin does not hide a certain frustration

Author of his fourth consecutive podium this year in World RX, Sébastien Loeb remains the only driver not to have left the top 3 of the 2018 World Championship finals. Returning to the podium against Mattias Ekström (Audi S1 ​​– EKS RX), the Alsatian was unable to prevent the defending champion Johan Kristoffersson and the Volkswagen Polo of the PSRX VW Sweden from winning.

« We are happy with this new podium and obviously the speed is there, underlines Peugeot Sport boss Bruno Famin. The cars are performing well and the drivers put in solid performances, even if the last day was a little complicated.

We're not going to complain about a 3rd place, but when you have the possibility of winning, it's a bit frustrating. »

The French manager also wants to find answers to the puncture problems which affected the Hansen brothers. “It's a shame, because Timmy has won at least one race in every qualifying heat so far, which proves his great consistency. » comments Famin.

Team Peugeot Sport will return to the Hell track in Norway (June 9-10), a track which had already smiled on Sébastien Loeb, 3rd in 2017. But let's not forget that the winner last year in Norway is called Johan Kristoffersson.
