World RX – Jean-Baptiste Dubourg: “A lot of humility”

After winning his second title on the Andros Trophy last winter, Jean-Baptiste Dubourg will begin its main program in 2017, namely the World RX, this weekend in Catalonia.

Still aligned under the DA Racing banner, the Girondin will pilot a Peugeot 208 RX which seems to give him real confidence after the preparation runs. “This is my first start in the FIA World Championship. Rallycross as a permanent pilot, this is the start of a new story and it is now up to us to do everything we can to start it in the best possible way, believes Dubourg.

We have just completed three days of testing with the 208 WRX and the first impressions are very positive, both in terms of performance and reliability. I would like to take this opportunity to salute all the technical staff of Team DA Racing-Eurodatacar who did an excellent job to ensure that this test session took place in the best conditions. »

Seize opportunities

Facing the headliners of World RX: Mattias Ekström, Petter Solberg, Sébastien Loeb or even Andreas Bakkerud, Jean-Baptiste Dubourg knows that the game will be anything but easy on the Barcelona track.

However, the third at the Lohéac meeting in 2015 knows that the discipline often remains unpredictable with its race format and its virile clashes. “Obviously, we arrive with a lot of humility, but once on the starting grid we are all drivers. In rallycross, everything is possible and I am ready to seize every opportunity who will show up. »
