World RX – Kristoffersson pounces on Hansen before final race

Timmy Hansen (Peugeot 208) sees his lead at the top of the World RX general classification melt away like snow in the sun. It was also in the middle of the powder that the first day of the German weekend took place. This did not worry Johan Kristoffersson. The Audi driver won Q1, the first semi-final and the final at the Nürburgring. The Swede was not at all worried during the latter and was ahead of his compatriot by more than three and a half seconds. Hansen was able to limit the damage to the championship by climbing to second despite a bad start. He took advantage of a successful strategy to surprise a surprising Yury Belevskiy (Audi S1). With a nine-point gap between the two Swedes, the last race of the season will be decisive for the title this Sunday. Only 30 points are still at stake in this double-header and the two compatriots are de facto the only ones still in the running for the world crown. With 369 points, the Hansen World RX Team is assured of the team title.
