World RX – Feeling unfinished for Loeb

After having managed to once again reach the final stages of the English round of Lydden Hill, Sébastien Loeb finally had to settle for fourth place. The French driver was notably the victim of a radiator problem which handicapped him for the last race while he was aiming for a podium.

« Petter Solberg and Johan Kristofferson were out of reach this weekend, confides the Alsatian. On the other hand, we are really in a fight with the others. »

Despite this technical failure, Loeb was able to limit the damage during the final by finishing 4e, two places better than his teammate Timmy Hansen, victim of a puncture in the final after a victory in Q4. The French driver is sure of the potential of his Peugeot 208 RX.

« I feel like I had some good qualifying heats but that didn't translate into the intermediate rankings. In the final, I had an engine problem which did not allow me to compete for the podium. »

If Sébastien Loeb has not progressed in the driver's championship and remains in 5e place, the Team Peugeot Hansen rises to second place in the Teams championship ahead of Audi EKS RX.
