WorldRX – Rallycross returns to its roots

It is on this route in the English countryside, not far from Canterbury, that the Rallycross made its debut in the 60s before spreading to the rest of Europe, then the world. Today, the FIA launched WorldRX, the discipline's World Championship, which opened earlier this month in Montalegre, Portugal. The second round, at Lydden Hill, promises a very attractive field, although without Jacques Villeneuve (Albatec – Peugeot ) selected for the Indianapolis 500.

Petter Solberg and his Citroën DS3 will thus appear as leader of the ranking and count well on the grounding of Albion. He will nevertheless have to face Liam Doran, son of Pat Doran, owner of the circuit, and who will play at home within the Monster Energy Drink team. The Fords of Team Olsbergs MSE of Andreas Bakkerund, Reinis Nitiss and BTCC champion Andrew Jordan, the Peugeots of Timmy Hansen and Timur Timerzyanov (Team Hansen), but also the Volkswagen Polos of Team Marklund for Anton Marklund and Topi Heikkinen will obviously be there. the part. Watch out for Tanner Foust (Marklund – Volkswagen Polo) or the French Davy Jeanney (Albatec – Peugeot, who replaces Villeneuve) and Alexandre Theuil (Citroën DS3).

Lydden Hill will also kick off Euro RX. Here again France will be well represented with Jean-Luc and Fabien Pailler on Peugeot 208 and the reigning French Champion, Jérôme Grosset-Janin (Renault Clio) who favored Europe this season.
