Dakar – An investigation into attempted terrorist assassinations opened

The investigation after the explosion of the 4×4 of the Gironde team Sodicars in which Philippe Boutron was seriously injured continues. Three days after the tragedy that occurred before the start of the Dakar, the national anti-terrorism prosecutor's office took up the matter and announced the opening of a preliminary investigation for "attempted assassinations in connection with a terrorist enterprise." »
As a reminder, Philippe Boutron, then driving the 4×4 and heading towards Shakedown of the Dakar 2022 on December 30, was seriously injured after the explosion of his vehicle near a gas station. Information confirmed by David Castera, the boss of the event, on Saturday January 1st.
Wounded in the leg, the man who also wears the role of president of the US Orléans football club was transported and operated on in a military hospital before beginning the repatriation process.
The investigations surrounding the explosion which seriously injured Philippe Boutron, who was preparing to compete in a 9th Dakar, were “entrusted to the internal security directorate (DGSI)” indicates the national anti-terrorism prosecutor's office.

The DGSI will investigate in Saudi? That's science fiction! There was a time when the Dakar was stopped on the eve of departure because an attack had just taken place in Mauritania and never returned to Africa. 24 years later, it's okay, there's nothing to see!
