Targeted treat in Vuillafans

Reigning French champion, Lionel Régal sees competition emerging. Dominant at the start of the season, the rider from Rhodan was deprived of victory in the last two races. Motivated to get back on the leader in the standings, Nicolas Schatz and Sébastien Petit never spared their attacks, at the risk of making mistakes sometimes, like Schatz at the Teurses d'Hébecrevon. The latter is also the 2008 winner of the Vuillafans event, after four consecutive victories for Régal.

Still largely leader of the Mountain Championship a few weeks ago, Lionel Régal saw his lead disappear with the arrival of good weather. If Schatz and Petit are therefore motivated to further catch up, Fabien Frantz will also have things to prove.
