Rhys Millen will aim for a new record in the Production category on June 30 at Pikes Peak (Colorado). The 46-year-old New Zealander, who has won twice in electric prototypes, will be behind the wheel of a Bentley Continental GT after setting the record in Production SUV last year with the Bentayga.
The Continental GT will have what it takes to tackle the 20km climb. By having a W12 with 626hp and 900Nm of torque aided by a turbo, it is capable of going from 0 to 100km/h in 3”6.
“Upon learning that Bentley was planning to compete in Pikes Peak a second time, the choice to work together again was a natural one., comments Rhys Millen. The Continental GT and its W12 offers us the ideal platform to aim for a new record and I look forward to preparing the vehicle with Bentley Motorsport over the coming months. »
