Simone Faggioli had the honor of being the first winner of the Rise of Legends. If many stars such as Sébastien Loeb, Ari Vatanen or Romain Dumas were registered in the Leisure category and were not timed, around fifteen competitors nevertheless aimed for victory.
It was therefore the multiple European champion who was the fastest, completing the 6,4km climb to the Col de la Faucille (Ain) in 2'30''345 at an average speed of 153km/h. Reigning French champion Sébastien Petit was the closest with almost 3 seconds behind, placing two Norma M20 FCs on the top steps of the podium completed by Diego de Asperi on his Osella FA30. Note the 12th place of Simon Jean-Joseph at the wheel of a DS 3 WRC who finished almost 48 seconds behind the benchmark.
The first edition of the Rise of Legends welcomed 15 spectators with its list of 000 entrants.
