Petter Solberg (Volkswagen) won Q1 of the World RX in Estering (Germany) ahead of his teammate Johan Kristoffersson, also winner of his race after a superb start. Kevin Hansen (Peugeot ) a terminé au 3e rang en remportant sa course et se classe devant Mattias Ekström (Audi), vainqueur devant Timmy Hansen (Peugeot) qui a mis une forte pression sur le champion du monde 2016. Le Suédois ne se classe malgré tout qu’en 7e position derrière Niclas Grönholm (Hyundai) et Andreas Bakkerud (Audi).
Despite his pole position, Sébastien Loeb (Peugeot) only set the 8th fastest time after missing his start. The nine-time champion WRC ahead of Anton Marklund (Renault), Kevin Eriksson (Ford), Guerlain Chicherit (Renault), Janis Baumanis (Ford), Robin Larsson (Ford), Liam Doran (Renault), Timur Timerzyanov (Hyundai) and René Munnich (Seat).
European Supercar champion Cyril Raymond (Peugeot) finished 17th ahead of Oliver Bennett (Mini), Kjetil Larsen (Volkswagen) and Grégoire Demoustier (Peugeot).
