The former Formula 1 driver will participate in the Race of Champions for the first time in his career.

Team Finland for the 2022 Race of Champions (February 5-6 in Pite Havsbad, Sweden) will look great. Confirmed several weeks ago already, Valtteri Bottas will be joined by a driver of great pedigree in the person of Mika Häkkinen.

« I'm excited to race again and finally compete in the Race of Champions, reacted the double world champion of Formula 1 with McLaren. It will be very different from F1 but I love competition and it's special to drive on ice and snow. I will try to train at home in northern Finland before the event."

« We have become good friends with Mika so I am very happy to have him as a teammate to represent Finland at the ROC, recognized Valtteri Bottas. But then, of course, we have to try to fight in the individual races. Whoever wins, it will be entertaining for the fans »

In addition to Mika Häkkinen and Valtteri Bottas, Tom Kristensen, Sébastien Loeb, Mattias Ekström, Travis Pastrana and even the Solbergs (Petter and Oliver) will participate in the 2022 Race of Champions, the first since 2019.
