World RX – Davy Jeanney joins Team Peugeot-Hansen

Davy Jeanney will defend the colors of the Team Peugeot -Hansen in World RX taking the place of Timur Timerzyanov. The 2013 European vice-champion will ride alongside Timmy Hansen, the son of Team Principal Kenneth Hansen who appears more confident for this second season where his team will still field two 208 WRXs full-time.

“I feel we are much more ready than last year”, comments Kenneth Hansen. “In 2014, our agreement was concluded quite late and it had been a tour de force to be ready for the first race. We nevertheless managed to be very competitive in the second part of the course. We have built on last year?s experience and can't wait to get to the first race! »

Davy Jeanney intends to take advantage of this opportunity to defend a manufacturer at the global level of rallycross. The Frenchman will have to help the team achieve its objectives of winning the Drivers and Teams titles. “It’s a new life beginning because, for me, it’s my first contract with a factory team”, underlines the tricolor pilot. ?This is a big turning point in my career and I intend to get fully involved in meeting this challenge. I'm going to have the right cards, it's up to me to play well with them. When I had the opportunity to try the 208 WRX, I was really surprised: its engine runs really strong! I hope to have a growing season with podiums and victories. »

Peugeot and Red Bull also created the Peugeot Red Bull Hansen Junior Team which will prepare young competitors for the highest level of Rallycross. Aged 16, Kevin Hansen will join this structure and will be entered in the RX Lites category of World RX.
