World RX – The reunion of Loeb and Solberg

Peter Solberg now faces an old opponent in World RX with the arrival of Sébastien Loeb. The two rivals were able to face each other during the inaugural round in Montalegre (Portugal) held last week. The Norwegian won the Final while the pilot Peugeot finished in fifth place.

“I was thinking about 24 Hours of Le Mans, in the Dakar, but I finally opted for the rallycross, due to the proximity to the rally, which remains my heart discipline », explained the double World RX champion. “The power of the cars, the World Championship label, the efforts made by IMG, the promoter, also counted. It's also easier to come with family, and that's important at our ages. »

“It’s pretty much the same arguments that convinced me”, added Sébastien Loeb. “The car is really exciting to drive, the races are very competitive, the Championship is growing…”
