World RX – PSRX with Solberg and Dieter Depping in Estering

Petter Solberg will make his return after being collarbone surgery last Monday following his accident in Riga (Latvia). The former champion of WRC was unable to celebrate his teammate Johan Kristoffersson's Drivers' title and that of his team by having to be hospitalized. He will return this weekend to Estering (Germany) where he won in 2014.

“We have competed in some great races there in the past, remembers the two-time World RX champion. It's really special to come back here as champions. It didn't end the way I wanted in Latvia, but what we achieved this season gives me great satisfaction. »

PSRX will enter a third Volkswagen Polo for the penultimate round of the season this weekend in Estering (Germany). The reigning champion team will be driven by 51-year-old national driver Dieter Depping, who notably participated in the development of the WRC version of the German car.

“I didn't have to think long when (Volkswagen Motorsport Director) Sven Smeets asked me if I was considering running my national event at Buxtehude. I can't wait to experience these races, especially the starts. I have trained well for this weekend by doing training sessions over the last few weeks, which is probably necessary for an old man like me,” comments the German.
