World RX – Timmy Hansen wins in Istanbul

Timmy hansen (Peugeot ) performed well in the Championship by winning the World RX final at Istanbul Park (Turkey) while his direct rival at the top of the Drivers' standings Petter Solberg failed in the semi-final following a broken transmission.

The Swede resisted the pressureAndreas Bakkerud (Ford) in the last race of the weekend and waited until the last moment to perform his “joker” lap in order to emerge just ahead of the Olsbergs MSE resident. The two drivers had already faced each other in 2014 on the Turkish circuit, but it was then the Norwegian who won. The Peugeot driver is only 19 points behind Petter Solberg with two rounds remaining in the season.

Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen) completes the podium in front Mattias Ekstrom (Audi) and Davy Jeanney (Peugeot) who stuck together. Anton Marklund (Audi) abandoned due to mechanical problem.
