The long-tailed 33/2 Daytona competed in endurance races in Southern Africa in the 70s (South Africa, Zimbabwe ex-Rhodesia and Angola) before being found in Angola in 1983 in very poor condition, having escaped to the ravages of the War of Independence because she was buried in a wooden box in a garden. Her discovery did not go unnoticed in the circle of Alfists and she became famous under the nickname "33 from Angola". Finally, it returned to Europe in 1986 and benefited from a complete restoration in Italy from 1994 by 2 former Autodelta employees (Giordano and Massimo Gambi). https://www.motor24.pt/sites/jornal-dos-classicos/o-alfa-romeo-332-que-foi-enterrado-em-angola-para-escapar-a-guerra/388714/
