It had been three years since the Princesses had last gathered on Place Vendôme to participate in their own rally. The gentlemen were asked to remain among the observers, since the 21st edition of the Rallye des Princesses, contested from the capital to La Baule (Loire-Atlantique) from May 14 to 19, was reserved for 100% female crews, as tradition dictates. “ We do not ban women from our other events, explained Patrick Peter, the race director, mais les autres évènements que l’on organise sont essentiellement courus par des hommes. Sur circuit, il y a davantage une guerre d’égo, l’ambiance est un peu plus tendue. Ici, c’est différent ! La passion est universelle, elle peut se vivre aussi bien au masculin qu’au féminin.
